Account Executive

Responsibilities: 

As a member of our Sales Team, you will sell our software products and technology services in a designated territory on the state legislative and local level. Develop new business primarily through prospecting and cold calls, as well as by building relationships with state caucuses, fundraising consultants and members of the campaign professional community. Conduct online software demos, prepare written proposals, negotiate and close sales. Establish and grow relationships with current NGP clients to identify opportunities to upsell additional software and services.

Essential Skills: 
  • Demonstrated and passionate interest in Democratic political campaigns and progressive politics. (Former Democratic campaign managers, finance directors, and caucus directors especially encouraged to apply.)
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills; professional phone presence and highly effective presentation skills necessary.
  • Customer-focused and highly organized; genuinely enjoys answering questions and solving problems through an effective and creative approach.
  • Must be comfortable with daily cold calling: telesales, telemarketing, or tele-fundraising experience helpful.
  • Understanding of consultative sales, experience selling database solutions, and/or experience in the campaign and elections marketplace all would be a plus. 
  • Experience with NGP products (Campaign Office Online, etc.) a big plus.
  • Strong computer/internet skills with proficiency in MS Office; experience or familiarity with Salesforce.com a plus.
